Some of the more notable include Peggy's Cove are well-known for the cliffs, pebbled shoreline and famous lighthouse.

 

Search for fossils on Blue Beach or head to Five Islands Provincial Park with its 225 million year-old geological formations overlooking the beautiful sea.

Of course no visit to Nova Scotia would be complete without a visit to the Bay of Fundy, with its natural sandstone formations and great wildlife viewing opportunities. Whale watching, kayaking and fishing are all available nearby, and be sure to catch the Shubenacadie River during high tide as waves heave and toss from the energy of the Bay of Fundy. If you prefer to swim warmer fresh waters don your bathing suit and head over to Aylesford Lake or Lake George beach. Blow up a water toy and spend hours in H2O.
