Camping in Nova Scotia

For those who are not into the comforts of cottages and hotels, there is nothing more fun than pitching a tent and laying out under the stars as the ocean waves roll in the background. There are a ton of great camping spots in Nova Scotia, from fully serviced sites with washrooms and showers to rustic camping. The Campground Owners Association is a group of recommended campsites to stay at during your Nova Scotia vacation.
Nova Scotia - Camping in Bay of Fundy 
Near the amazing Bay of Fundy, the Cove Oceanfront Campground features more than a quarter mile of shoreline. A heated pool is onsite and tents are up for rent. Klahanie Kamping is one of the best campgrounds in Annapolis Valley. Spread over 120 acres in Aylesford this family campground is ideal for recreation. Facilities include two swimming pools (one adult only), canoes, rowboats, paddleboats horseshoes, mini-golf ground, shuffleboard, badminton, basketball, biking trails, hiking trails, and playgrounds. There are tent, RV and trailer sites available.
 
Look-Off Family Camping Park  offers panoramic view of Annapolis Valley and the Minas Basin. The on-site facilities include washrooms, hot showers, Laundromat, fire pits, playground, volleyball, sports equipment, arcade games, workshops, and a picnic area. The Whale Cove Campground located at Tiddville is wonderful. Located near a prime whale watching location in the Bay of Fundy, and some of Nova Scotia’s best beaches, this campground features showers, internet, laundry, games and club room and a mini museum.
 
Nova Scotia - Camping in woods
In the Annapolis Valley you’ll find the South Mountain Campground near the Bay of Fundy. This 110-acre ground is surrounded by vineyards, orchards, pristine forest, and many hiking trails. Whale watching, kayaking and fishing are all available nearby and the campground itself has the largest campground pool in Nova Scotia, including a wading pool. There’s also a tennis court, mini golf, paddle boats, horseshoe pits, a playground and recreation hall besides standard facilities.
 
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp has 236 sites and 14 cabins. This family campground has a heated swimming pool, waterslide, bumper boats, sluice archery, mini-golf, and game room. Cape Breton Highlands National Park, home to famous Cabot trail, is another famed site for camping in Nova Scotia.
